Brand Overview: Màkku is a rice-based alcoholic beverage brand, inspired by the traditional Korean alcoholic beverage, makgeolli. Our mission is to introduce Màkku to the world through our approachable and enjoyable products. With a strong presence on Instagram, we are now looking to expand our reach and engagement on TikTok.
Position: Summer TikTok Internship
Intern Location: Remote
Duration: 8-12 weeks (flexible)

About the Role: Màkku is seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Summer TikTok Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative TikTok content strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and followers. You will work closely with our marketing team to create captivating short-form videos that reflect Màkku's brand identity and resonate with our target audience. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing and contribute to the growth of a dynamic beverage brand.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm TikTok content ideas aligned with Màkku's brand values and target audience.
- Create engaging, high-quality TikTok videos showcasing Màkku products, recipes, lifestyle content, and more.
- Stay up-to-date with TikTok trends, challenges, and best practices to ensure our content remains relevant and appealing.
- Monitor and analyze TikTok metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize content performance.
- Interact and engage with Màkku's TikTok followers by responding to comments, direct messages, and collaborating with influencers or creators when necessary.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team to align TikTok content with our overall social media strategy.
- Current enrollment in a college or university program, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge and passion for TikTok as a platform, including an understanding of trends, features, and algorithm dynamics.
- Excellent creativity and storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling visual content that drives engagement.
- Proficiency in video editing software or TikTok's built-in editing tools.
- Familiarity with the Màkku brand and an interest in Makgeolli or Korean culture is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

The role: You are responsible for generating sales volumes in the Greater Los Angeles region. You will sell our brands into new accounts, maintain our current accounts, and work with our distributors to increase our distribution footprint and sales velocities, overall amplifying Màkku and Soku’s brand presence in your territory. This is a full-time position.
- Build and execute against KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Close new accounts through sales outreach
- Maintain and grow current account velocities
- Ensure proper merchandising throughout our accounts
- Schedule and participate in promotions, tastings, and events
- Maintain strong relationships with our distributors
- Get feedback from the market on how we can move further towards our company goals
- Conduct ongoing brand training with distributors and retailers to represent our brands with excellence
- We are a dynamic and growing company, seeking proactive and ambitious individuals to join our team. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and takes initiative, while also being able to work collaboratively with our team.
- 2-3 years of sales experience in consumer goods or hospitality industry (beverage preferred)
- Excellent communicator, negotiator and influencer
- Ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
- Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and reliable vehicle. Position requires travel and may require evening and weekend work
- Legally able to work in the US
- 21 years of age +
- 3+ years of residence and work experience in the Greater Los Angeles area
- Korean language proficiency is a plus
