Strawberry Mochi

Strawberry Mochi


1 ½ Cup Sweet Rice Flour
½ Cup Potato Starch
¼ Cup Cane Sugar
1 Tbsp Strawberry Powder
1 Cup Water

12 Oz Sweet Red Bean Paste
12 Strawberries, Washed and Dried



  1. Divide the sweet red bean paste into 12 equal pieces and roll them into a ball.
  2. Wrap each strawberry in one of the red bean paste pieces.
  3. Combine the sweet rice flour, strawberry powder, and sugar in a microwave-proof bowl. Slowly add in the water and mix until combined. Cover the bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Take the bowl out, stir and microwave again for 45 seconds. The dough should be sticky and hard to mix at this point. If it is not, add 1 tablespoon of the sweet rice flour in, stir and microwave for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Flour a clean surface with the potato starch. Divide the dough into about 12 equal pieces. Flatten the dough into a circle. Wrap the strawberries with the dough with the tip facing down. Repeat the step with the remaining dough. Enjoy!
